When you think ‘William Street’ and ‘hole in the wall’, nice images don’t really come to mind. But when you start thinking of fresh Vietnamese rice paper rolls, vermicelli salad and steamed dumplings, pleasant thoughts start flooding in.
With the help of a friend, we discovered MissChu. After spending time in the catering biz she opened up this serviceable little hole-in-the-wall that deals out dumplings and other nice tasting bits.**We liken the ‘MissChu experience’ to spending pocket money at the school canteen. First you stand in line, eagerly trying to read the treats on offer. Once read, you’ll change your mind at least five times before MissChu herself begs you to order. We suggest the English spinach and tofu dumplings, peking duck pancakes and the chilli prawn vermicelli salad. Save space, because cradled in a banana leaf boat is a mouthfull of coconut mousse. Yes, William Street just got a whole lot nicer.
