When people steal from us we somehow conjure up images of what they look like. My ancestors invented stories about murderous horned Vikings who ‘stole’ their woman and sheep. Truth is, my ancestors were probably ugly, dank druids and their woman willingly left with the Swedes, because they looked better and simply did things better. Fair game.**Sven’s Viking Pizza borrows a good idea from abroad and improves on it, serving incredibly fresh Swedish style pizza in an attractive, simple timber room. Even the names are more exciting. ‘Thor’ is fresh chicken, sundried tomatoes, field mushrooms and basil pesto. While ‘Valhalla’ is slices of doner kebab with fetta cheese, kalamata olives and onion. Phwor! It’s not ‘plundering’ if you take a foreign recipe and make it better is it?
