The Gaucho Grill
published on 22nd April, 2009

For an eternity, The Gaucho Grill sat there on Parramatta Road, a beacon to carnivores city wide. Its naff ads preceded all our movie sessions, reminding us the smart post-film progression was to go eat a quarter of a steer.

Then suddenly it vanished. Or seemingly so, shifting without fanfare to a small cafe space in Kirribilli. Cut off from our natural place of alimental worship, many of us went into fugue, unable to indulge the hurts-so-good culinary masochism that comes only from kilos of tender barbeque.**But hark! The nomadic king has returned.

Relocating to swish new digs on Stanley Street, The Gaucho Grill is still serving sweat-inducing portions of meat cooked in the traditional Argentine manner. With its signature baby steak or parrillada adorning your plate, and a cold Quilmes to wash it down, the natural order feels restored.
