The Local has more than just fantastic, incredible, AMAZING beer. They serve terrific pub grub (a top notch steak, tasty veggie burgers, pizza, salads, pasta and chill fries with parmesan mayo) have cute, cosy boths and old-fashioned furnishings, plus friendly staff.

But for this brand new bar, the aim is clearly…BEER.**With easily the largest selection of any pub in town, The Local’s range of tap beers alone is staggering; a rotating, handpicked selection of the best craft beers (with a focus on Australia, naturally). Check their beer blog for regular updates and selection, as well as events and classes.

Be wary of ‘private function’ nights, where the crowd can be a bit more Hugo’s (this scared us off the first Friday we visited, but we’ve been back twice since, and each time’s been divine).
