We’ve had a somewhat worldly run in EAT/DRINK for a while, making refined new friends in Germany and Italy, and even acquainting ourselves with West Africa. This tripping around the joint is all well and good, but it has sadly meant neglecting old friends, the benchmarks of our quaffing circles. So with the weather turning, what better time to reconnect and drain some freshies with our BFFs?**Top of the list was checking back in with our old favourite, The Rose. The courtyard is still oddly appealing in its woody neo-rennaissance manner; the dynamic beer selection continues to offer some rare specialities; the wine list remains tight and clever; and the kitchen keeps turning out those famous pizzas. In other words, little has changed at maybe the most lovable pub in Sydney, which is exactly the point.
