When we get a wiff of something interesting here at TwoThousand we suss it out like true professionals. So when word leaked that there was a certain ‘Nathan Smith’ making tees that channeled Helmut Lang (with prices that channeled General Pants) our hands were at the ready on the keyboard…

Enter the Google. Turns out that this ‘Nathan Smith’ ain’t a medical malpractice attourney in Canada or a Jewish web designer. (Side note: the latter led us to a site on DIY  Shalomshirts!)

Our ‘Nathan Smith’ was the owner of Cumquat boutique in Avalon, which definitely hints at good taste (Lover, Camilla and Marc, Karen Walker, and JoshGoot were on the racks). His signature label extends this taste further to jersey and heavy cotton tees, pants, sweats and singlets in a growing range of pared-back colours. We’ve also heard rumours of denim and cashmere. We’ll be watching this space.
