The Tea Centre
published on 12th March, 2008

The Tea Centre is pretty much the nemesis the bustling café. Its serenity, sweet smells and real time pace are the antithesis of acrid coffee and Saturday morning hustle. Adorned from floor to ceiling with intricately decorated tins (containing over 185 different types of tea from all over the world) it’s the ideal place to buy grandma gifts. I’m still yet to meet a grandma who doesn’t like tea, especially if it’s an organic number from the hills of Ceylon.
**That said, there’s more to tea than just Sri Lanka. Must try teas include Japanese lime green tea, the best Chai you’ll ever taste and the Ginger Kiss that’s anything but sweet. And for warding off the ills of winter nothing will serve you better than the Echinacea blend, not even grandma’s chicken soup.
