Everything All The Time, Band of Horses
published on 30th May, 2006

Few things in life are as deliciously rousing as grabbing your air guitar, pumping the volume and powering out a few chords in time to your favourite tune. And if you’re looking for a band that puts that innocent, rock-out-and-be-damned feeling at your fingertips 24 hours a day, Band of Horses is it.

Combining My Morning Jacket’s comfy rock drawl with the kooky exuberance of The Shins and the rambling melancholy of The Clientele, Band of Horses’ EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME has it all. **Choose `Weed Party’ or `The Great Salt Lake’ to kick off your housewarming. Opt for `Monsters’ whenever your bitchy boss puts down one of your brilliant ideas, again. Or load up `First Song’ for good times and fringe-waving when you’re trapped between a bunch of grey-faced suits on the bus.

Pitchfork calls them the next big thing, but TwoThousand sees them as the equivalent of alt-country bling. Yee-haw never sounded so good.
