Nobody does a cover as sweetly and subversively as Nouvelle Vague. "Sweet” and “Subversive” are a great coupling and they are flashin’ it around at The Metro on Thursday night. So I hope you’ve got your tickets already or I don’t like your chances. They are playing alongside Emilie Simon, as the SO FRENCHY, SO CHIC tour. I’m not going to pretend to know that much about Miss Simon, but she’s a bit of an electro chanteuse, really quite famous, **worked with people like Tricky (remember him?) and makes kind of electrified, percussive atmospheric type music. She’s been billed as the French Bjork, which is funny since Tricky once got into a fist fight with Goldie over Bjork, so who knows what lays in Miss Simon’s future? Anyway go and see them.
