Their debutfull-length THE FUTURE PREHISTORIC is a beautiful mess. They makerambling, quirky, creepy Eastern-influenced psych rock employing atruly awesome arsenal of instruments: air organ, sitar, panflute,backwards loops, space synths, trumpets, maracas and maybe atheremin. You’d be forgiven for thinking someone dosed the punch atband camp.**But don’t worry, this trip ain’t no bummer, and itwon’t harsh your mellow. RIYM’s exuberance and silly lyrics keep theirmusic more playful than menacing. Finally the nerds are taking acid.
