Sydney’s south-west fringe (Newtown, Enmore, Marrickville, Chippendale, Sydenham) is home to a thriving arts community, and carriageARTworks is designed to let the world know about it.

A myriad of galleries and artist-run initiatives from the area will come together under one roof, to showcase over 40 artists across all mediums. These include: Factory 49, Hardware Gallery, Lennox Street Studios, Aboriginal Women’s Art Collective, At The Vanishing Point, Enmore Jewellery Object & Design, Marnling Press, NG Art Gallery, Oh Really, Sheffer Gallery, SNO Contemporary Art Projects and Wilson Street Gallery.**Exposing and celebrating the diversity of creative practices alive in this hood, the free exhibition opens in the cavernous foyer of CarriageWorks come Thursday.
