Police at Blender
published on 13th January, 2008

Way back when, before Sting got naff, The Police were one of the biggest bands going around. Telecaster-wielding Andy Summers was both band guitarist and photographer, documenting life on the road.

On stage, Summers eschewed guitar pyrotechnics for a complex, structured sound, which is perhaps a hint as to the creative inclinations behind his photography as well: a keen sense of composition is evident throughout his work. **Rather than being a collection of images of rockstar decadence, this exhibition is a rare insight to the experience of the touring band from one who’s in the moment. Go discover the intimate, human side to rocking the f*!k out.
