The Thousands

This is one of my favorite daily stops on the Interweb. In a sea of too many bad man blogs throwing you their ‘Autumn Look’ sequences or gleaning over the retardation of the Fixed Geared Bicycle epidemic, Unchanging Window is a pretty straight up photo stream that has you tracing the footsteps of its author as she takes time in and out of cities, events and friends.

Like many sites it’s semi anonymous. We know it’s a girl called Mary from NYC working in fashion/art circles whose career excursions seem to place her here and there, camera perched on shoulder like a parrot at all times (of late in Los Angeles, which has been producing neat imagery).

I guess there is something to forming a more ambient image of oneself via how you frame your daily adventures, and there’s a satisfaction to being a tourist, a visitor to this type of information – rich is its associations and clipped of any unnecessary annotation.
