All India Radio

Dream pop pros Zero 7 meet the universal sponsors of hazy afternoons Portishead – and have a lovechild. Its name is All India Radio. It has a dreamy voice, the kind that lulls time-challenged adults into guilt-free naps. FALL is the band’s fifth effort, but their debut album (if you want to be fussy and count Leona Prue’s first time at the helm). Cruising the high seas of semi-set jelly, this lot have already scored a spot on John Peel’s ‘Album of the Week’ honour roll and an audio cameo in Michael ‘I’m too sexy for this trucker hat’ Moore’s SICKO along the way. – ST
