Arthur Russell: Tapes Of Thought

Description:
Arthur Russell was an 80s New York musician who hung out with dudes such as Allen Ginsberg, making everything from left field disco to ambient cello music. Documentary maker John Connell is launching his radio ode to Russell with an island party, including live covers by Kirin J. Callinan (with Daniel Stricker – Midnight Juggernauts), Mark Bradshaw (composer of Jane Campion’s Bright Star), Lovely Head and Luke Bacon, plus DJs Ron Radge and Jaguar Paw (Knife Machine). Plus, there’s rumours of punch – and we all like punch. – VH
