I’m a baking nut – an enthusiast on a good day. I’m among that rare group of people who get excited over cupcake tins in Coles and dig into Donna Hay on their daily commute. This isn’t a confession nor the begginnings of a nine-step program – this is a celebration of cake and the return of the BGF Bake Off for 2010! This genache-covered babe is a much loved community event held by The Bobby Goldsmith Foundation (Australia’s longest-running HIV charity). Judges will view a range of incredible entries from the wizards of the whisk, whilst we tuck into something lush and wish we were that good. There will also be a live auction in the arvo where you can practice your hand-waving skills and get your paws on some of the days entries. – TBJ
