Book of Longing

When an iconoclast composer, Glass, interprets the profound intensity of a wordsmith, Cohen, the result is monumental. Ask Cohen and he’d tell you it’s "just like Bach asking if he could use your lyrics". With this tone it’s clear he said yes when Glass proposed creating a theatrical score, which pays homage to the hypnotic beauty of Cohen’s BOOK OF LONGING. Reportedly galvanising and euphonious this is 100 minutes of riveting poetry, music and projected sketches. – LL
