Life was a little bit different before cute Japanese girls invented amazing photo booths, or before you could trick your mum into getting the biggest school photo pack so you could trade portrait shots with your BFF’s. Let us enlighten you. See, 200 years ago, a French man invented Carte de Visite. A small photograph intended for trade between friends and family. And this Thursday, 25 graduating photomedia artists from Sydney College of the Arts show their final works, which, you guessed it, are inspired by this 200-year-old trend. – HM
