C.W. Stoneking and the Primitive Horn Orchestra

Description:
Much has been made of C.W. Stoneking being from Melbourne and yet sounding like he’s straight outta the deep south. But he’s the the real deal. Stoneking’s banjo-twanging take on 1920s blues, jazz and hokum is the sound of sitting on a weathered porch, maybe whittling something, and feeding on grits and collards. He’ll be playing with his Primitve Horn Orchestra at the Coogee Bay Hotel this Saturday (and I didn’t even mention ice cream once!). – CB
