Festival of Dangerous Ideas

Description:
According to the Festival of Dangerous Ideas "talk isn’t cheap" and we agree; especially when it’s coming out of Annabel Crabb, Marcus Westbury and David Marr. Running over two days, FoDI is a series of panels covering the arts, climate change, freedom, happiness and robots. It’s hard not to find something that pushes your button. ‘What’s so special about Opera’ questions the imbalance of $$ support for the arts in Australia. ‘Zombie Economics’ unearths dangerous ideas about market liberalism that just won’t die. Slightly lighter relief comes in the form of ‘Stuff White People Like’ chaired by the blog/book’s author Christian Lander. You can also have your say on the Soapbox. Oh, and some bright spark has built a page to help us pre-purchase drink vouchers in advance. Genius. – NS
