Sydney three-piece Founder are formed from the fragments of at least a half dozen other bands (The Woods Themselves, Joseph Arthur, Sound Lizard, and AFXJIM) and surprisingly, they don’t suck at all (most Frankenstein-like hybrid side projects are a vanity, a novelty, or just a bore). Combining scuzzy melodic indie rock and Sonic Youth/Mogwai quiet-loud instrumentals this show launches their new album Into The Frightened Air – and it’s sure to scare the shit outta those toddlers at play at Petersham Bowlo.
