Gather round, and I’ll tell you about Xerox Missive 1977/2011. Collaborative duo Ms&Mr has (have?) explored alternative realities and versions of history through a multi-channel video installation. They use audio to break down time and space, and frame the artwork as an alternate reality infused with contemplations of death, paranoia, faith and confusion. Still following? They’ve laid out a conversation between science fiction author Philip K Dick and his fifth wife Tessa who are chatting about paranormal phenomena and moments when Philip’s life and his imaginary worlds collided. Spooky. The artists have also intervened with re-worked home movies, childhood drawings and other modified records of their own histories. Got all that? Phew.
