Never Far

The world would probably be a friendlier place if we had more scones, jam and lavender bushes. There’s a certain tranquility to the English countryside that would work wonders if only it could be bottled and sold. Fortunately it can be photographed and put on walls, and photographer Sam Ash is just the man to do it. Ash gets all nostalgic on us, using stills of roaming fields and lush trees to evoke childhood memories of this happy, pretty place. Exhibition  runs until Oct 16. – JB
