Record Time

Some records, such as the Rolling Stones’ rare 1972 first Spanish MONO issue of the 1965 12-track LP, OUT OF OUR HEADS, are worth holding onto. Ahem. Then there are others, like WINGS – GREATEST HITS, which need the heave-ho. What to do? You can melt them into wavy bowls, or you can turn them into art. 24 local and international artists, designers and typographers have used vinyl records and various techniques to create pieces that explore the notion of time. Artists include Jeremyville, Kelvin Ho, Jonathan Zawada, Ben Brown, Cody Hudson, Joseph Allen and more. – VH
