Stereolab

Stereolab are 18 years old!? What?! You are now the aged. Those kooky English popsters and their fascination with Faust, Neu! and bossa-nova are back to take us all on a little nostalgia trip. They started it a year ago by releasing their first new material since 2004. Then they took a left turn down memory lane by getting 4AD to put it out! I’m too young to remember why any of this matters, but I’m guessing all you old hipsters have some new bond with them since they’re all aging and have kids too. No matter though, they’re an incredible band whether or not you remember mail ordering ‘John Cage Bubblegum’ when the internet got invented. – PC
