Sydney Film Festival: Black Dynamite

We’re going to presume that you love using terms like ‘The Man’ and ‘Jive Sucka’. Other favourite things of yours might also include numchucks, sex, and movies that make you go ‘woah’. If so, BLACK DYNAMITE ticks all the boxes before you’ve even considered the plot line or characters. And when you do, you’ll find that it’s an impressive, uncompromising love letter to a treasured time and genre. Expect afros aplenty, sweet kung-fu moves, and a hero willing to fight all the way from the blood-soaked city streets to the hallowed halls of the Honky House. – AF
