With any luck the art of dying is not something you’ll perfect any time soon, but it makes for an interesting subject. In this new photographic exhibition Sydney artist Ben Ali Ong uses scratched up negatives to explore the themes of mortality and consciousness. These black and white beauties are hanging up in the China Heights Gallery, just a hop/skip etc from Oxford St. Exhibition runs until February 25. – JB
