No one makes divorce and mid-life crises quite as side-splittingly knee-slapping as Alan Ball, so get excited that his acidic brand of dark humour is set to descend upon us. Best known for penning AMERICAN BEAUTY and SIX FEET UNDER, Ball is as much a romantic as he is grim cynic, and is above all very, cleverly, funny. Five actors and four directors take on his collection of four one-act plays which may leave you questioning your existence, but finding it pretty goddamn hilarious. So roll up, roll up, at least to see what mischief he’s up to in the last act, titled YOU’RE MOTHER’S BUTT.
