The Duke Spirit

After over a year of waiting, The Duke Spirit fans can exhale. Rumour has it that the UK four piece worked in a Middlesex cannery to send themselves here, so we better represent. Lead singer, Liela Moss, has been compared to Nico in almost every review, this is probably because of her haircut and the way her husky voice melts psych-rock. If you haven’t heard them, please put Sonic Youth, The Pixies and The Shangri-Las in a blender – then stick your headphones in there. Alternatively, just come to this gig. – HM
