Who actually keeps a festival program for the whole festival? Personally, I’ve already lost two of the Sydney Design 09 Festival ones and three of the State Of Design guides and they haven’t even started yet. Besides, if you don’t spill wine on yours at the launch then you’re not really our type of person. But it’s okay. We came up with something for punters planning a trip to Melbourne for this very special event.
The Absolut Future micro site is a distilled take on what can be quite an overwhelming festival, focussing on the events we find particularly interesting, as well as more in-depth stuff to compliment the experience and give a well-rounded, yet specialised viewpoint.**At this minute, there are interviews up with Tim Yu of Cool Hunting and Thobias Faldt, as well as a studio visit with Stuart Geddes of Chase & Galley and installation shots from the After Dark bar. The site will be up and running for the duration of the festival, with daily updates and plenty of surprises.
