With so much great material available online these days, I often wonder why people still buy fashion magazines. Okay, yes, I am a complete hypocrite for saying that, as I am as much a sucker for those bound glossy pages as the next person. But then I think about my eco-footprint and I’m trying to stop – promise!
Like a nicotine patch to those quitting smoking, STYLE BUBBLE has been a great aid in this quest. This uber-chic blog from British stunner Susie B delivers us a daily fix of the hottest and latest fashion shoots and looks. Miss Susie is also the editor of DAZED DIGITAL at DAZED & CONFUSED – so if that doesn’t win her some extra cool points, I don’t know what does.
**Still, we’re not saying there’s no place for the treat of your newsagent glossy. As much as Photoshop works wonders these days, there’s still nothing like the real life cut-n-paste fun of a fashion scrapbook or homemade birthday card, all crunchy with glue and the overzealous application of sequins. Besides, where else are you going to find that pic of your fave it-girl to tear out and hang above your bed? Don’t tell me you’ll print one, cos I know that you’re lying – have you really met someone who’s ever had ink?
