The Blackmail
published on 28th June, 2009

In the ongoing ‘death of publishing’, the first casualty was – inevitably – the niche market. Unless you’re glossy and covered in luxury ads featuring anorexics, these days, your mag is a hard sell. So… bye bye, Cat Lovers with S&M Tendencies Racecar Collectables Bi-weekly.

Luckily the internet is the place where niches flourish, which is nice, for us and for all concerned. The Blackmail is a new online niche publication. They may not cover cat lovers or S&M, but they pimp all over other niche stuff such as Ghostface Killah and pepper crusted beef (with embedded expansion on most content). And as they specifically promote Australian content for an Australian audience, they’re a zine after our own heart.**Brought to you by Sydney scene stalwarts and quiet achievers Tristan Ceddia, Gabriel Knowles and Toby Marlow, The Blackmail is sure to be an indispensable guide to good times. Damn, getting blackmailed never felt so good…
