These three old-time mags are classics. LEVEL pretty much made us want to start doing a mag; those early RAYGUN (although illegible) were a designer’s wet dream; and ole Geoff Mcfetridge nailed GRAND ROYAL for all of four issues, before the Beastie’s put the clamps on it. Head to a second hand book store on George Street and sniff through the old gems, just as current now as the day they were printed.
