Hawkesbury Harvest Markets

Inner city office workers unite! No longer must you spend your obligatory Friday team lunch within the confines of a dimly-lit pub. Finally, there is sunshine and fresh air, and finally, there is fine food, cheese and wine tasting (from the bottle not the cask).

The Hawkesbury Harvest Market brings a fete-like atmosphere to the city’s doorstep every Friday for four hours. Stalls and marquees are set up from which farmers sell their wares, ranging from fresh harvest to meat and poultry, gelato and old-style lemonade.**The sausage sizzle gets a modern makeover with a chorizo, tomato relish and a rocket roll. Turkish gozleme commands a 20 minute wait, which is totally worthwhile once sitting in the cool shade of the cathedral feeling worlds away from the working week.
