Paper2
published on 25th September, 2007

I have this problem. It involves festive occasions and cards. Catch me 15 minutes before a birthday and I’ll be in the supermarket searching for something that doesn’t say (quote): “We are all stories, unfolding day by day. Enjoy your next chapter. Happy Birthday”.

In absence of an appropriate option, I’ll end up buying a SESAME STREET eyesore featuring the Cookie Monster and “You’re 2! Me Want Cookie!!!” I’ll then add a little ‘6′ next to the ‘2′, thereby forming 26 in an attempt to be cute and hide the fact that yet again, I’ve been card surfing isle six.** To my past victims, I apologise and promise it won’t happen again. This is because three weeks ago, Paper2 opened on Crown Street. There’s not a Hallmark to be seen amongst handmade gifters from Poppies for Grace or Japanese designer Yoshitomo Nara. There’s also a lot of seriously organised Swedish storage and paper options.

My advice? Stock up now! Or be left with (quote, again) “Birthday girl, you have such a generous heart…That’s what makes you so inspiring, so amazing.” Spew.
