The Succulent Man
published on 5th January, 2009

It’s a lazy Sunday. Last night’s chemical antics can be remedied by just one thing – nature. If you can somehow get to Lewisham, an obscure oasis awaits. The Succulent Man’s green-haven greets you with towering roof-high cacti that unfold like a scene out of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. The menagerie of plants (sold straight from the soil) includes snail eating carnivores, herbs, succulents or my pick ‘Mr Fingers’ the naked tree.**Take a leaf out of David Attenborough’s THE PRIVATE LIFE OF PLANTS and visit this street side plant stall, uproot some weird and wonderful suckers and turn your backyard into a summer oasis on the (dirt) cheap.
