You might associate the word ‘alley’ with bad graffiti, miscellaneous crime and the aroma of urine. However, add a ‘Via’ in front and you get treasures like Hakusan ceramics, Surface2Air, Q-Pot, Nieves books and many Japanese wonders. What are we getting at? Well, Via Alley is opening a new store.
Designed by recently-graduated Architect, Lenny Wong, who also designed the petite VA Select, Via Alley’s philosophy of supporting strong design talent rings true from the city to the burbs.
While the new store stocks all of our favourite labels, it also welcomes some new treats. These include Japanese brands Cosmic Wonder and 20,000,000 Fragments (which is part of the GAS collective). Rittenhouse and Casio G Shock watches are also coming on board. Our favourite? It has to be Mikio Sakabe’s footwear. Pop in and say hello. The only crime round these parts is a belated pay day.
