Adina on Crown
published on 21st June, 2011

Different travelers have different goals. Some want to party hard, glam it up and make a big splash. Others want to blend in and live like the locals. For the latter, there’s really no better accommodation than the Adina On Crown.

Ground zero of ever-evolving Surry Hills, Crown Street certainly isn’t as edgy as it used to be. And though the newly arriving glitterati can be annoying (especially to the firmly ensconced boho residents), the area’s also now become unquestionably the city’s finest eating precinct, with amazing selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Slurry and adjacent Darlinghurst are also home to a growing selection of cool small bars (Ching-a-lings, Shady Pines, Yulli’s), great music venues, and some of the city’s best shopping (Via Alley, Outre, Supply, PAM, American Apparel, Deus, and Ariel).

And while it ain’t got harbor views (sorry), the location’s mix of residential and retail is a relaxing, personable alternative to the tacky tourism of the Rocks, the suits of the CBD, and the red light shenanigans of Kings Cross. Making it even more homely, rooms come with full kitchens, and some seriously sizable balconies in select suites (some with fantastic city views).

Best part? Bills downstairs, open 7am-10pm (with room service at night). So you can walk down, grab a great latte, click on our site – and make like a real local.
