Anode

Animation in café windows…installations in a carpark…world music in pubs…books at a wine bar. Where the hell are we!? Melbourne!?

It seems Sydney can put on a fine arts show of the less-established variety. Some might say underground, which would be fitting as one of the venues is the Domain car park. Anode is a weekend of art, design and installation, utilising different ‘nodes’ (geddit?) around the city.**Eight-metre-long dragons and a 27-piece orchestra take over the carpark. Stop animation consumes the front window of Allegra Coffee Shop while Uber Lingua DJs pound the Abercrombie. It’s a weekend of urban art that’s not riding on graf, chalk or cheese.
