Bowral

On our recent visit to Sydney, my husband and I spent a couple days in Bowral, just to get away from the city. We found that Bowral provides a plentiful variety of places to shop and dine. Here are some of our favorites:

Palate Pleasure, 350 Bong Bong St, 4861 7411
Coffee, pastries, and delicious lunches. We tried the antipasta for two, which had loads of tasty goodies. The next day I had pumpkin soup, served with garlic toast. Yum!**My Place Bowral, 80 Merrigang St, 4862 2196
This store has many colorful fabrics for quilts, but there is so much more! ‘More’ includes kitchen linens and handkerchiefs in nostalgic prints; kits for making items such as purses and baby toys; and (for scrapbook makers or card makers) themed sets of stickers and stamps. Lovely!

Jack Style Thai, Boolwey Station St, 4862 1905
The presentation was so attractive I had to resist the urge to take a photo before tasting it! (However, I did save the woven lemongrass fish garnish.) The meal was delicious, with generous portions and reasonable prices.
