I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted to break free of the quiet, slow-paced head-nodding of art galleries and start a fracas. And now, beyond the Art Bars and Film Nights at White Rabbit, everybody will be kung fu fighting. Well, sort of.
While no one will be whipping around nunchucks or brandishing swords, every Saturday morning for the next month kung fu hopefuls will be able to learn the breathing and balance basics used by bodyguards of the Chinese Emperors. A Tibetan monk developed the Pak Hok (White Crane) style of Kung Fu over 2000 years ago after observing the agile and graceful fight between a black ape and a white crane.
Where better to access the power of a meditative style of martial arts then at White Rabbit? Below the dangling, tongue-clenching golden figures of Chen Wenling’s sculpture, you’ll start your transformation from young grasshopper to mighty warrior.
