Miracle Asian Food Plaza
published on 17th April, 2008

What is most miraculous about Miracle Asian Food Plaza is that it stocks the two most crucial staples of a modern diet: Cincalok Sauce (pureed whole shrimp and brine in a bottle complete with thousands of eyes looking out at you) and Basil Seed Tea (pictured). Purchasing either of these two liquids is as close as a non-former pageant queen can come to competing in Fear Factor.

For the non-daredevils, Miracle Asian Food Plaza also stocks all kinds of incredible and basic Asian foods. At the back are a bunch of freezers full of frozen Yum Cha, most of which need only be steamed for a few minutes (or microwaved if you’re lazy and worthless). Elsewhere there are walls and walls of instant noodles, canned coffee drinks which have milk in them, sweets, cookies, soups, bizarre hampers, and various other ama-things (it’s a compound word we just invented!).**The onsite butcher has very well priced meats cuts and they have a bakery section that has (intentionally) green bread as well as those pastry rolls with hot dogs baked into them. Hallelujah!
