www.racecoursedrivein.com.au**Nowadays everyone and everything is something else. Your dentist is a DJ, your barista moonlights as a playwright, and your barbershop hosts rock bands.

Randwick Racecourse is getting in on the action. Starting this weekend, the track will double as a drive-in movie theatre every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! Imagine the possibilities; smell popcorn and horse manure at the SAME TIME! Place bets on which wench in Sex And The City 2 will wear an outfit worth more than you make in a year (answer: all of them).

Front row spaces are reserved for VIP ticket holders. Otherwise, gates open 60 minutes before showtime, so get there early for a good spot. Cars and 4WD OK, but no trucks, vans, motor homes, combi vans, recumbent bikes, flying saucers or Segways.

We know that in this day of global warming, not just encouraging people to drive to the movies but downright forcing them to is slightly irresponsible. But damn is it fun. Meet me and Pony Boy for a smoke behind the snack shack.
