Shades of Green
published on 18th December, 2007

What is rad about living in Sydney is that there’s a whole bunch of junk to do on the weekend. Often there’s too much. Making you stress about whether you’ve chosen the right thing, text your friends constantly, and then end up spending only minutes at each, all the while cursing geography and the passing of time and thinking “why can’t there be a single place that’s a genuine grab bag of options?” And you cry a bit. **But then a little guy appears on your shoulder and says “psss, relax. Just hit Shades of Green. Here you get: barefoot bowls, cheap beers, live music (this week is Mr Bamboo), the resident DJ’s, Nintendo 64, screenings of short films by Oxfam (donate!) and the brand new BYO seconds market.” And you’re like “aaahhhhhh.”
