Ever wondered where you can get a muy authentico taste of South American life? Ever imagined it’d be in Kenso? At a bowling club?

Kensington Bowling Club has been running an extremely popular South American Night for years. From 7pm ‘till midnight, Latino families, grandparents, and young singles get decked out, get their grub on, and get down  – seriously.**Plan to get there by 6.30pm if you want a table, and save room for mouth-watering grilled chicken and ribs (vegos can feast on side dishes). South American tunes play throughout, but at 9pm when the live band starts the dance floor gets PACKED.

The crowd is super friendly and very inviting, but do realise, you’ll probably be the only white dudes there. And if you’re dressed like Pat Benatar and Peter Allen (like my amigo and I were), you may feel a little flashy. Ay carumba!
