Sydney Film Festival 08
published on 9th June, 2008

Let’s be honest. Many of us get a little shiver of excitement around festival time. The rest of us are overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of the program. Fall you into column A or B, there is a Sydney Film Festival experience for you.

We might have missed Isabella Rossellini’s GREEN PORNO, but there’s still time for ‘suburban noir’ THE SQUARE, directed by Nash Edgerton (brother of Joel, more importantly stunt double/man/coordinator of MATRIX, ROUGE and THE QUIET AMERICAN). A wintry Mississippi Delta brings Sundance winner BALLAST, while Sly-inspiration brings SON OF RAMBO. There’s the the "controversial" (at a film festival? Never!) ELITE SQUAD.

**If you want more info, A types should look here. B types should get an A type to look here for them, there are 57 countries on the the bill after all.
