Tempe Vintage Bus
published on 8th April, 2008

For most, the idea of catching a bus conjures up thoughts of congested bus-lanes, annoying jingles and commuters inconveniently carrying coins rather than a travel card.

Let’s face it. The novelty of bus travel probably wore off when you were five, and only became cool again for a brief period when the 422 was a better option than your mum’s Volvo. **It’s time to bring the bus back, even for a single season. And what better way to rekindle your childlike love affair with public transport than by taking a ride up top on the free vintage bus service through Marrickville and Newtown? There is even a very polite man who stands at the back in a retro driving suit. The authenticity excites me.
