The Filth

Adrock, MCA and Mike D not so subtly stated that "You’ve got to fight! For your right! To paaaaaar-ty!" (Or par-tay, depending on your diction.) Thankfully, 23 years later, we don’t have to struggle against THE MAN to have a good time. We can in fact, go out on a Sunday night and hear some of the best bands in Sydney. Things really have changed since you needed a ‘license to ill’.**The Filth has a strict policy of showcasing solid up-and-coming Australian bands, in a venue that maintains its rock ‘n’ roll ethics with the addition of comfy seating and top quality food (this is Sundayafter all). This Sunday, DJ Banshee‘s supporting The Paper Scissors, The Waysiders, and Daddy Matador ("When a band is this good, you realise this is probably going to be one of those gigs people name-drop for months" is this weekend’s lore according to DRUM).**So take the opportunity to be rebel without a cause, safe in the knowledge that everyone’s kicked out at 10pm, so you can be tucked up and fresh for work on Monday.
