WeBuyYourKids sound like some kind of porn ring, or perhaps a foster agency specialising in children from Malawi. But they ain’t. They are Sonny and Biddy, and they draw things for a living.
They draw things like tour and theatre posters for bands such as Blonde Redhead, CSS and The Drones. The also make things like animated film clips, hand-carved typography and are a dab hand at illustration. They are wonderful overachievers.**TRAGEDIES combines the artists’ decidedly un-tragic prints and new works amidst Pigeon Ground’s labelled goodness of Hem + Haw, Princess Tina and Dr Denim. At the opening night this Friday there’ll be beer, there’ll be music (Astronomy Class, Owen from Straight Arrows and DJ Chasm) and there’ll hopefully be a few drunken tragics.
