Tuesday 31 January, 3.42pm. You guys, this week Vice are launching Rdio, which is basically an unlimited, on-demand social music service from the makers of Skype. It’s based on cloud access, meaning you can listen to whatever you want (over 11 million songs and more coming) on your smartphone or iPad, in your car or online. Tuesday January 17, 3.43pm. Calling artists, designers and makers of things! Alex De Bonis and Louise Helliwell (of Tough Titties fame) invite submissions for well-designed local products to sell in their pop-up, The Dollar Shop, set to launch at 58 Oxford Street in late February.
Items might include (but are not limited to) clothing, jewellery, bags, stationery, self-publishing, photography, posters, instruments, kitchenware and craft. All items sold will be under $20, with a small commission going to The Dollar Shop, so your item must be able to make a profit/break even within this price point! They are also seeking interns/volunteers to help run the shop.
